Located immediately next to my Manhattan Heights apt bordering XinZha Rd and ChangDe Rd and a few blocks north of JingAn Temple (JingAn Station, Subway Line #2), One Park Ave is a newer and larger complex with mostly expat residents. The complex has a great clubhouse, equipped with an Olympic-sized indoor pool, gym, billiard/pool, ping pong, squash, as well as 2 outdoor tennis courts. You will love it if you are the type who needs to work out everyday~
You will take up the guest bedroom in my friend Shelley's sweet pad. She had put in some classy custom-made Chinese furniture, mixed in w/ modern ones. Surf the international satellite channels on her big-screen LCD TV or choose from a good selection of DVD movies. The bedroom itself has a comfy full-size bed, along with AC, a full-size closet and a window with view. You will also have the guest bathroom all to yourself. Internet connection and washer/dryer are available. The cleaning maid comes weekly to keep the place in order.
The room rate for this chic city center dwelling is $275RMB/night for singles, $300RMB/night for couples, including all utilities (except phone) and use of the clubhouse facilities.
